How does it work?

Most foreign visitors may stay in Türkiye for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. The 180 days are not a fixed half-year: for any date you look back 180 days and count the days you spent in Türkiye. This calculator does the counting for you and shows what is still possible. Learn more in the

How does it work?

What is Turkey's 90/180-day rule?

Foreign visitors may stay in Türkiye for up to 90 days within any 180-day period, whether they enter visa-free or with an e-visa. The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that this limit is binding for all foreigners. For every day of your stay you look back 180 days, including that day; the days you spent in Türkiye in that period must not be more than 90.

Does the rule apply to my nationality?

For most visitors, including citizens of the EU, the UK, the USA, Canada and Australia, the limit is 90 days in 180. Some nationalities have shorter limits, for example 60 or 30 days. Check the current list of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs for your passport.

Do the entry and exit days count?

Yes. The day you enter and the day you leave each count as a full day, even if you were only in Türkiye for a few hours.

Do days in the Schengen Area count for Turkey?

No. Türkiye is not part of the Schengen Area, and each country counts its own days. Days in Türkiye do not count towards the Schengen limit and vice versa. Use the region menu at the top to check your Schengen days separately.

Can I get a second 90 days with another passport?

No. According to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, holding two passports does not give you two allowances: the days count per person.

What happens if I overstay?

Overstaying can lead to fines, deportation and a ban on re-entering Türkiye, depending on how long you stayed over the limit. Plan your trips so that you stay within 90 days.
